In our 18th year, TEACH FOR LIFE! is an immersive curriculum of Nonviolent Communication principles and practices applied to a classroom setting.

Teach for Life! provides educational professionals with practical experience in a beautiful, nurturing retreat environment.  Participants learn hands-on processes for facilitating vibrant and compassionate classrooms – places where students, teachers and parents thrive.

Our Teach for Life! 6-day retreat is carefully designed to offer:

  • A lived experience of co-creating a compassionate learning community.
  • A structured curriculum, covering foundational Nonviolent Communication principles, processes and skills as well as emergent and open space structure.
  • A network of professional and personal support

Who Should Apply?

Teach for Life! is designed for Pre-K through University-level classroom instructors who know the value of cultivating prosocial behavior in their classroom.

Teach for Life! Training Team:

Jared Finkelstein, and Jennifer Warnick are certified trainers with the international Center for Nonviolent Communication.

Location: 
George Williams College

Lodging: 
Double rooms with two queen beds and a private bath.
Single rooms  with a queen size bed and private bathroom. 

Tuition: Fee includes tuition, lodging, meals, and materials.
Early Bird Rate: $1450 (Early Bird Tuition must be paid in full by April 15, 2019)
Full Rate: $1550 (applies to registrations paid after April 15, 2018)
Private room: $2000
Group Discounts: Groups of three or more from the same school/district will receive a 10% discount per person ($1395) – ask a colleague to join you this summer!
Scholarship: Contact us about the availability of scholarship funds.

To receive early bird rates tuition must be paid in full by April 14, 2019.
A deposit of $200 is due upon registration to reserve your space in the retreat. Tuition in full is due by May 15th, 2018.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations before May 20th receive a full refund minus a $100 administrative charge. Cancellations after May 20th will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations after July 1, 2018 receive no refund unless the space can be filled with another registrant from our waiting list.
